What to do in Hilton Head in March?
Suggestions needed for lodging, dining and activities for a family of 5 with kids age 15, 13 and 9. We'll be there in late March.

Try one of the time-share/condo rental places -- we stayed at the Island Beach and Tennis Club. Lots of courts, bikes to rent great pool area access to that wide flat beach (more for riding bikes than swimming!) Take a sailboat ride on a nice day. It is a golfer's heaven. There's even some good outlet shopping. A fun place to dine is in the main square near the public beach "downtown," on the second floor (can't remember the name) with a MASH unit decor. There's a live band that plays WWII swing. The food is great and all ages seem to enjoy it.

The place Diane speaks of is called The Big Bamboo at Coligney Plaza. It is a fun place for all ages. Haven't eaten there (just visited the bar numerous times), but the atmosphere is worth a visit even if the food turned out to disappoint.

Thanks,Brian..that's the spot. BTW the food was very good! Usually theme restaurants don't follow through with great food, but this place kept its menu simple and used local fresh seafood.

Remember that it wil be too cold to lay out on the beach, but good weather for beach walking and cycling. Day trips to Savannah, and Charleston are a must! <BR>Agreed with previous posting about outlet shopping, on the island and right-off the island.
