What to do in El Paso?

I will be on a business trip in El Paso and have Saturday night, Sunday and Monday afternoon free. I will be staying at the Courtyard Marriott at the airport and will have some funds for taxis. Can you all recommend some restaurants and shopping areas? What would be good activities there?

Don't go to Juarez!! If you have the day free, there are Jeep tours that go to Big Bend Park although it might still be a little hot for that. Hopefully someone else will have recommendations.

Oh God no, don't go to Big Bend. That's at least a 6 hour drive, one-way. Total waste of time if you're not going to spend at least several days there.

I'd recommend Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, but it sounds like you won't have a rental car, so that's out.

Sorry, had forgotten that Big Bend was that long of a drive from El Paso.

Over the weekend, you can probably get a small rental car for around $14/day plus tax with unlimited miles.

Tour some of southern New Mexico.
