What to do in Albquerque or Santa Fe?

We will be in Albuquerque Thursday and Friday this week with a 13 and 14 year old. Any suggestions on things to do or see? Is it worth the drive to Santa Fe and back?

In Albuquerque there is a nice science museum, there also is Petroglyph NP where they could get some Native American History. Take the tram up to Sandia Peak. Just north is Tent Rocks for neat hiking. A bit west is Acoma Pueblo for a look at more Native American History in a continuing village.

Santa Fe also has nice museums and is interesting for adults.

If you put Albuquerque or Santa Fe into the search box at the top you will find lots of threads on things to do.

I wouldn't go to SF until after you exhausted emalloy's suggestions. However, if in SF the capitol building is worth a visit.

Another vote for Acoma Pueblo and try some of the Indian fry bread, so good, yummy!

The tram up to Sandia Peak is fun for all ages; if you have time, you can ride the ski lift down and back up while you're there.

Sorry, I just saw this! Hopefully you're enjoying some of the good suggestions you've received and you're surviving the wind. :-)

I've never been to Albuquerque, but we have been to Santa Fe numerous times. We love the history and architecture, especially the churches, they are amazing.

Also, if you're a foodie, you will love the cuisine in Santa Fe.
