What to bring

Hi, What do you think the weather will be like the middle of August? We will be in at Mt. Rushmore. Thanks

You can probably expect mid 70's to mid 80's. It stays much cooler in the higher elevations such as Mt. Rushmore, but if you were to visit Rapid City you'd find temps 10 degrees higher.

Keep in mind that mornings in the mountains are chilly, even in the summer.
