What the hell is all this monkey stuff about?

I was looking at previous posts talking about "monkeys", and I wonder if I'm the only person who doesn't know what is that.
Maybe that's because I'm not american.
Could some anonimous good soul enlighten me?

Naive, there were joking(trolling)posts about taking a monkey on vacation and posted at the european thread and here.
Some very funny responses but I am told they were deleted. If not maybe someone will bring it up for you.

It's simply nonsensical wordplay designed to make people ask questions as to what the "significance of all this monkey stuff is".
Means nothing. You're not naive.
Save your neurons.

check the European site. They are much more helpful and know how to pull a site up if it exists.

Ok, thanks.
I was thinking it was something about drugs (this subject is on my mind because a famous singer in my country died yesterday after an overdose).

Naive, hello, and what country do you hail from and what was the name of the singer? As you know, we have lost far too many entertainers because of drugs. Sorry for your confusion. We all have share your sympathy.

Hi, Mimi.
The singer was Cassia Eller (woman, around 40 years old, an 8 year child), from Brazil.

Sorry for your cultural loss. We have several posters from Brazil on the Europian site. I live in Boston and we have a large Brazilian population
