What side of rooms to avoid at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua in Maui?

My family and I are staying at the Ritz and will have adjoining rooms since our kids are minors. Does anyone have a suggestion on what part of the hotel we should request our rooms to be located on? We don't to want to look at some ugly parking lot. And I am not sure they will upgrade since we are using points. Are adjoining rooms going to even work. I would love to hear from families who have stayed at this property. How did you work it out?

Marriott owns Ritz Carlton and allows Marriott Honored Guest points to be used.
Also many different credit cards offer point redemption at Ritz Carltons.

If you can ask for a poolside rooms. It's pretty difficult to get a lousy room at the Ritz as far as looking over a parking lot. If you don't get that view you will most likeley overlook a golf course. Even this view is very pretty.

I agree with fivestar about the poolside rooms. My family has stayed at the Ritz twice and each time we were on the ground level, poolview, which worked out great. You and the kids can can walk over to the pool right from your patio. Don't remember if they had adjoining rooms on that floor, we only had one room. I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have....we love the Ritz Kapalua!
