What Next?

OK, so far I've done Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Boston and Washington. Any suggestions on where I should see next?

Cheryl Mar 14th, 2002 04:29 AM

New Orleans, San Antonio or Austin, San Diego.

Howard Mar 14th, 2002 04:33 AM

How about some of our national parks and other natural wonders--Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, etc., etc., etc.?

Sandy Mar 14th, 2002 08:45 AM

San Diego, Absolutely!

CF Mar 14th, 2002 09:16 AM

I wanna go to adult space camp, but the better half just laughs....

allin Mar 14th, 2002 09:23 AM

Try Sana Fe.

What about Alaska? I've never been there, but I am currently planning a trip for next year. I would also suggest Maine, particularly in the fall.

San Diego, Maui, New Orleans, Santa Fe/Taos. And a little further north of the US, you might want to consider Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

Gary Mar 14th, 2002 09:50 AM

New Orleans, San Diego, San Jose/Silicon Valley, and Montreal, Canada

How about a whorehouse? That's guaranteed to give you a "taste" of American culture. You can find them virtually everywhere.

Greenport, Long Island. Old whaling port, now on the upswing, surrounded by beautiful bays and now world-class vineyards.

Arizona - Grand Canyon, Sedona, Tucson, etc., very scenic with diverse landscapes.
Drive the California coast, that is stunning.

hi Mar 14th, 2002 05:00 PM

New Orleans, Atlana, Maine, Denver or Monterray Coast

jimbo Mar 14th, 2002 05:07 PM

San Jose OF COURSE! San Jose, Milipitas, Cupertino, Sunnyvale. All great places.

Ben Mar 14th, 2002 05:24 PM

Depends on what you like to do. Do you like large cities exclusively or are you open to some off-the-beaten-path type places? Are you averse to some driving?

xxx Mar 14th, 2002 06:00 PM

Vegas baby!!

Paul Rabe Mar 14th, 2002 06:17 PM

If you're trying to get a taste of the US cities; then your next ones should come from this list: Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Antonio, and Los Angeles.

If you want some real variety, as others have noted, you need to go to scenic beauty in national parks.

Thanks for all the suggestions - well most of them. I'll check out my Fodor's guide to see what they have to say on some of the suggestions.
