Yes, yes Irishfest in Milwaukee. I'm a volunteer beer pourer at the event and have been for 15 years. It's the most fun you can have legally!
Those Fodorites who will be there, stop by my tent. Usually we are on the AerLingus stage and I'll post when it gets closer exactly which tent. See ya there abram and bennie.

Although I think it's wonderful that Milwaukee has so many ethnic festivals, and that we're lucky to have that beautiful lakefront property, Irish Fest is BY FAR my favorite.
Tommy Makem, Gaelic Storm, Natalie MacMasters, Schooner Faire, Standing Stones, all those readheads, the kids dancing, etc, etc.

abram - I'm jealous of that lineup - Tommy Makem is an all time favorite - wish I'd been old enough to tag along with my parents when they would go see Tommy and the Clancy Brothers. And Natalie McMaster - she played in Newburyport on May 1 but I was in Alabama. She's great in concert. Next you're going to tell me Paddy Reilly and the Saw Doctors are playing too.

Gotta check out Austin City Limits...what an awesome line-up this year!!! Go to www.austincitylimits.com/festival to check it out. Usually a little warm down there, but at the end of September, it shouldn't be unbearable.

Technically not considered summer but hey its Texas and September is still summer. We are thinking about Austin City Limits Festival- Coldplay is a headliner and I have never seen them! Later in October it will be u2, my all time favorite.

tulips -- re: Coldplay. Worth every penny. Go!
Elton John tomorrow (ok, not summer); Go Go's June 1st; Paul McCartney (not until Nov.); but no summer goes without at least a couple of the old, new, and in between.

We've got the best deal around here in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The local theme park, Magic Springs, has 14 concerts on Saturday nights this summer, all included in your season pass (basic price $39.95). If you buy a day pass for one of those days, the concert is included. You can take your own chairs and sit on the grass or buy $5 reserved seats. It's an amazing deal--we buy tickets each year just for the concerts.
This year's lineup includes Boyz II Men, Trick Pony, Jars of Clay, Three Dog Night, Diamond Reo, 38 Special. Check out their whole list at:
