What Maui Hotels Entertainment Rate?
I was looking at various web sites...the hotels in Maui suggested by the forum are EXPENSIVE! I was wondering what good hotels are in the entertaiment book in Maui!??

The ones that I am aware of are the Renaisance Wailea and the Maui Marriott. Now the Maui Marriott is on Kanapaali Beach and is going to be under construction of some sort. I myself don't like this area as much. The Reniassance is a very nice property on one of 5 crescent beaches in the Wailea area. My sister in law stayed there and she really enjoyed it. Rates vary from 160.00-200.00 some with breakfast for 2. I think you can get a frig in your room. The way to save money here, is to get a mountainview or gardenview room rather than oceanview. Feel free to email direct if you have any more questions. Annemarie

The Outrigger hotel chain lists 4 Maui properties: The Palms at WaiLea, Napili Shores, the Maui Eldorado Resort and Ka'anapali Royal. Outrigger is always in the Entertainment Book. I haven't stayed at any of them, but I've always been satisfied with the Oahu Outriggers.

I have used the Entertainment rate at the Embassy Suites. Very large suite with separate bedroom--includes an all you can eat breakfast & 2 hours drinks in the evening. If the Entertaimnet rates are available they go from about $100 w/o a view. I paid about $160 for a partial ocean view--will sleep 4.(sofa sleeper in living room, entertainment center, wet bar, microwave.

Any one ever heard of The Mauian? It is on the beach between Kamaole I and II. It appears to have 2 bdrm condos at a relatively cheap price, $130ish. Is it worth it?
We just returned from Maui and stayed at the Papakea Resort it is just at the end of Kaanapali Beach. We paid $135.00 per night with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo and I would not hesitate to stay there again. Very clean, grounds are beautiful. The only problem I found with the entertainment book is you could only make reservations within 30 days of going. Papakea is very convienent to Whalers Village and Lahaina. Aston properties owns the Papakea now, but we rented through Maui Resort Management, tell them you saw them on the internet and the give you a 10% discount (which about covers your taxes).
