love the mark hopkins. stepping into the lobby feels like taking a step back in time 100 years. stunning architecture and decor.

Recently stayed in the Mark Hopkins and I just loved it. It's elegant and sophisticated. Great location on Nob Hill just up from Union Square and right on the Cable Car line. We also visited the Fairmont and I thought the lobby was spectacular and the Tonga Room was a hoot. Walking by the Ritz I couldn't stop gaping as it was really architectualy interesting.

Have stayed in other locations around town but the Mark was my fave.

Just got back from a 6-night stay at the Hotel Rex, and I highly recommend it. Ask for a room on the top floor. Cafe Andree is really good.

Hotel St. Francis in Union Square and Why is it my favorite..because it is across the street from Lefty's!!!
Plus, I always get bumped to a gorgeous room..
