What is there to do in Heathrow for 8 hours

Hi there,
We have an 8 hour layover at Heathrow in London and I am wondering if anyone knows if there is anything to do besides shopping in the duty free shops. I don't think we have enough time to take a tour of London since traffic will be so bad. Any suggestions? Please?

Well if you are flying BA, you could spend the 8 hours looking for your luggage?

What time of day or night? One option is to take a bus or taxi to Windsor for a few hours.

Start walking to your gate. It's a miserable airport.

They do seem to have a shopping mall in the center of it so you could do some shopping.

Actually in LHR the gate numbers aren't announced until just prior to boarding. Everyone has to hang out in the shopping center of one of the four terminals until the gate is announced.

Eight hours is enough time to catch the tube to London and back. However, budget at least two hours to get back through security.
