What is the best hilton?

I have enough points to stay seven nites at the highest category hilton. Have already been to saint lucia in the carribean. What are the nicest hilton's in North America? WOuld like (if possible) ones that had villas or cottage type rooms. I do not like crowded touristy areas. Prefer peaceful private hotels. Thanks a bunch for the input!!!!!

Have you tried going to hilton.com and looking at the list for starters?

Gretchen Oct 26th, 2002 06:51 AM

Yes I have, many times. Wanted a more personal opintion from fellow travellers rather than a biased hotel site. Thanks for the suggestion though!

My point was, there are a zillion Hiltons and Hilton-owned hotels.<BR>If you have an idea what part of North America you'd like to go to, or a few Hiltons in mind you could suggest, you might get more detailed/useful responses.

I am open to locations. I enjoy beaches, mountains, hiking, desert. I like a nicer more upscale hotel that is secluded with villa type rooms. I do not like high tourist area's nor do I want city locations. The hilton site does not give me the ability to search based on this criteria. Does this help at all? Thanks!

I have seen an island that the Hilton owns located off of Key West. It doesn't seem to get great reviews but its worth a look.

Try Flyertalk.com, the Hilton Forum.

She clearly stated that she has all ready been to St. Lucia.

I'd suggest calling a Hilton representative and ask for their list of high end properties.

Isn't &quot;high end Hilton&quot; an oxymoron?

Just a thought - how about the Fountainbleu Hilton in Miami. It is it's own little world with villa type accomadations, nice pool, on the beach and good eats/bars.

The nicest Hilton would have to be The Waldorf=Astoria. Sorry, I know it is a city location but I think it is the nicest.

Gretchen Oct 27th, 2002 09:18 AM

Thank you to all for your input. I have been to St. Lucia and agree it's beautiful, thus my problem of where to go next! I will call the Honors rep to see if they can help. Had not thought of that, don't know why!!. I will also look at Fountainbleu and will also check out Flyertalk. Thanks again to all!!!!!!
