What is open in San Francisco on Labour Day?

Interested to find out what will be open on 1 September - Golden Gate Park? Most books don't advise one way or the other what is open/closed that day. Appreciate all advice ~ thanks!

Labor Day will be observed on Monday, September 6--if I am not mistaken.
September 1 should be a Wednesday, in which case the deYoung Museum, Academy of Sciences, and Japanese Tea Garden should all be open as usual. If you plan on seeing the Impressionists painting exhibition at the deYoung (on loan from Paris' Musee D'Orsay) then you should show up early or buy a ticket in advance. If you only want to see the other exhibits on display, then there is not need for this.

"<i>Golden Gate Park? </i>"

Golden Gate Park is a park -- it doesn't have entrance gates.

But in any case, nothing in SF will be closed (whichever date you meant)

Golden gate park has some roads closed... is it on Sundays only? Not sure. The buses will go through, the cars will be not allowed on some roads. This is the time when bicycles and skaters take them over.

The Golden Gate park band has free concerts on Sundays. They will have addditional concert on Monday.
