For gods sake just answer an honest question. Do you guys always have to behave like little preschoolers? My ten year old daughter could give a better answer and she's never even been to Maui.

Goosegirl, the answer to your question is yes. Brooke, do a text search and you will find lots of info. Just curious, do you not know anyone who has been there?

It is by far the most fabulous place, and I cannot figure out how to get back there quick enough.

It is a very diverse island, from the dry West Maui Mountain area to the rainforest of Hana to the one of a kind volcanic crater of Haleakela. Upcountry Maui is also unique. My favorite drive, however was north past the blowhole to the cliffs.

We put over 750 miles on our rental car in 8 days. It was incredible, if you want to sit on the beach go to Florida!!!!

Maui is wonderful!!! I've been lucky enough to make 2 visits a year for the last 2 years - have been to Maui about 12 times total. Every year, I think I should go somewhere new, but then I remember all the things I'd miss about Maui, and go back again. I've stayed at several different properties, tried lots of different activities, so if I can help with any specifics, I'd be happy to. Aloha!!

Some of the things you can experience on Maui....Mt Haleakala (Sunrise and 38 mile bicycle ride down the mountain).....Hana - "The Road to Hana"
beautiful scenery, waterfalls, seascapes galore.......Miles of beaches, probably the best island of all for beach swimming.....Watersports,
snokeling, windsurfing, etc......Drive
around west end of island, one of the nicest drives in Hawaii......Lahina, Lots of history, shopping, and fun spots
......Whalewatching in the spring.....

Maui is sort of like a combination of the best parts of all of the other islands put together. It is in my opinion the most diverse of all the islands. My wife and I and 3 year old were just were there over Thanksgiving, probably our 13th or so trip in the past 10 years. We just don't get tired of it. Whale season has to be the best (Dec - late March). Fantastic dining, great beaches, activities plenty and geographic diversity throughout the island are just some of the reasons we love Maui. Up-country is fantastic as well and Maui weather just can't be beat. Most of the places we've stayed, are very good. Watch out for deals that are "too good to be true", Maui is somewhat expensive and to some degree you pretty much get what you pay for. I don't mean to say that you need to spend $500 per night on a room to be happy, you don't. But, probably steer clear of anything less than $150, there are probably issues. Hope this helps, have a good trip
