What is Hawaii's Best Hotel?

We are honeymooning in Hawaii next year.
Are there any really nice hotels there?
Where should we stay?

N
Gotta be more specific. What do you consider "nice"?Where do you want to be?Do you judge a hotel by the rates? If so, look at the Lodge at Keole orManele Bay Hotel, both Sheraton luxury Collection hotels and both on Lanai.BUT--thats isolated.I have stayed at both.Depends on the occasion if you want to be around anybody else or totally by yourselves. But there are tons of great hotels all over Hawaii. To each his own.HTH
R

For Honolulu, we went and checked out a lot as we were not happy where we stayed. With no budget issues - Mandarin Kahala - in a really rich area in a dead end street. If you want main Waikiki, we thought Halekulani looked the best. Local residents also said these were 2 of the top 5 in any listing.

Do you mean Hawaii as in "the Big Island" - or are you talking about the Hawaiian Islands in total?
