See a lot here about ticket prices to Hawaii. So what should I expect to pay from east coast? Does the time of year make a difference? I am thinking spring 2000=maybe May.. Are some airports cheaper than others.

East Coast airfare is the most expensive--about $600 and up. I've seen prices up to $1200 for coach class. The time of year may have an effect on the price, as do airfare wars. The cheaper tickets are the ones that are the most inconvenient to you, leaving at earlier times in the day and having long layovers and multiple stops. You can reduce your airfare by flying during the week (Wed/Thurs.) instead of on a Sat/Sun.

To give you an idea on cost, I'm paying around $718 to fly to Maui from Washington, Dulles, and that's supposedly bulk airfare.

Happy hunting!
