Seems like I never drink enough milk when I'm away from home, so I like to have a mug with most of my meals for the first day or two. Really feels nourishing.

Complete pizza craving - New York style.
I had my parents bring a pizza to JFK airport when they picked me up from a semester in Botswana. I am a self-proclaimed pizza snob - NY is the best. My husband, a Texan living in Boston, craves Zydeco Diner in Houston (Cajun).

I only went to In and Out burger once, through the drive through and was floored when the person on the other end of the intercom said "are you going to eat that in your car?" I felt so guilty! Reason was, they wrap and package it differently. I have to admit, I thought it was all marketing hoopla (like Crispy Creme) but they really were better. Very fresh ingredients.

When I'm abroad I miss my Starbucks. Sorry, I admit it.

Fellow travelers, I confess: a Big Mac, fries, and a coke from McDonalds. All hail the golden arches! Ronald looks increasingly creepier to me as I get older, though.

funny Katherine I wonder how many on this board will know those products are British. I always crave British type sausages which I have just found in NYC, yeah yeah yeah and treacle pudding (sponge cake steamed and with warmed treacle sauce YUM)has a different name that I am forgetting.

Elizabeth-if there is only one drink you can drink, what a treat that it is tequila! did you ever have one of El Parador Cafes margaritas?
When we come home from a long European trip, I want a pizza from my little pizzaria near my house..I remember living in LA and missing the Mexican food and the burger place out by the beach in Malibu, but that was long ago, and now they have in and outs! C

Katherine, when we were last in London, I brought home Branstons thinking it would make me feel like I was still in England. It didn't really work, though the sandwiches were still good, then I found out I can buy it here! But they always taste better in Londonso do the crisps M

I thought of In N Out when I saw the title of the post. I can't wait to go home for Christmas - it's always the first stop from the airport. Damn, why can't they expand to DC!!

When I go home to San Diego, I always head straight for any taqueria ending in -bertos: Robertos, Albertos, Johnbertos -- they've got a million of them, and they are almost all incomparably good!

Most of the time, I get tired of having to eat out every meal, so I usually look forward to eating healthier fare at home. We do make our own sandwiches or breakfasts sometimes on the road, but especially when we travel with the boys, we get sick of the pizza and kid-friendly type restaurants all the time.

But usually, the only thing I really crave is my own BED.

Foodwise: In 'n Out Burger (always stop on the way home from the airport!) or Mexican food.

Otherwise: my B E D!!!

Coming home from a long trip I crave simple, non-restaurant-y food like Campbell's soup, peanut butter sandwiches, and an apple or a banana.

What made you dredge up and respond to a post that is over 4 years old? Just curious.
