Actually, nina. I posted it only once before a year or two ago in response to a topless thread, I think.

But, I am SO flattered to find that you remembered it.

I guess with 1000's of posts and years on fodors.com, I was bound to have a repeat somewhere. I'm so glad I have you to monitor my posts and keep me in line, nina. Whatevuh would I do without you?

Just went shopping here in Miami a couple of weeks ago. I started work after maternity leave, so I'm having some body issues and can relate. The good news was that the tops in fashion are super flattering for imperfect body types (even the ones I tried on in the "junior" department, so it wasn't just for dowdy older women). The stuff in style now are higher waisted, flowing shirts, that hit almost at the top of the thigh. Alot of them have brightly colored prints, most have loose sleeves. The better ones are silk, or silk chiffony-type material, but there are plenty of synthetic and cotton options.

These shirts look really nice with jeans (dark ones, light blue no), and high heels as much as possible. Peep toe sandals seem to be it right now. As for scarves that have been recommended, we don't use them very much here, particularly in SB. Although they definitely are a hallmark of the well-dressed woman, they aren't really seen in the evening south beach circuit especially if they are the silk, printed types I'm thinking of. Nothing against scarves, just not for the night scene situation.

However, the greatest thing about South Beach is that there are all different types of people there. Most people are NOT models, it's just that the ones around stand out so much. It's a fun place, whether you are the one being looked at, or the one looking. By the way, it has been very hot lately, so check the forecasts.
