What Airport?
 

Will be visiting Gettysburg in October and instead of driving from Detroit was considering flying, can someone tell me the closes airport I could fly into and then I would rent a car.

Try BWI or Philly.<BR>p

Harrisburg is not too far either. PHL or BWI may be cheapest though.

BWI is a good choice and you can usually get cheaper fares.

Try Harrisburg first- the airport code is MDT (Middletown) they have really been trying to get their fares more competetive with BWI and PHL.

Definitely aim for Harrisburg (MDT). It is a bit closer to Gettysburg and a world of difference in ease of use. We fly out of both MDT and BWI and opt for MDT every chance we get.

LOL!!! (Laughing) As students preparing to be teachers, the first rule we were given was to never make assumptions! BWI is Baltimore (Baltimore-Washington International).

The closest airport would be Harrisburg which is about 45 minutes from Gettysburg via Route 15. You could also go into BWI, Baltimore which is about 90 minutes east of Gettysburg via I70 and Route 15. Of the two I would choose Harrisburg due to the traffice getting out of Baltimore.
