Grew up in Sacramento, but never visited Yosemite NP, or Napa Valley, or the Gold Country until I was in my 30's.
Hi, from Switzerland - I have never been to the Jungfrau, an must attraction for all tourists coming here, but I have seen most of the things you are talking of.
I live in Orlando and avoid all the attractions and tourist spots like the plague. My home is my own attraction - free pool and food!
I've lived in Houston for fifteen years- and have never been to NASA! I keep intending to go...

Have lived in Oregon most of my life and am embarrassed to admit I've never seen Crater Lake. Also have never been up to see St. Helens since it blew its top 20 years ago.
I lived in Dallas, and not once did I make it to one of the 3,000 nudey bars in that town!
I live in Chicago and work in the Sears Tower and have never been higher than the 30th floor.
I saw this message and noticed the third post which reads <BR><BR>"I live in New York City and have never been to the statute of liberty or to the top of the world trade center. I will make it there someday."<BR><BR>It just made me think about how often things in our lives (such as WTC) that we may see everyday and don't give a second thought to and always put off til tomorrow may not always be there. This thread was started a little over a year ago (06/24/2001) and look at all that has changed already!
HI creepy,<BR>That's why I topped it. That person was probably still planning to see the top of the WTC one day, and now he can't. So, in a nutshell....go out and see stuff!
We have lived in San Diego for 5 yrs and have never been to Old Town, Hotel Del, Coronado beach, TJ, Santa Monica, or any other 'beach city' or Catalina. We better get travelling!
How does one live in San Diego and not hit any of the beach towns? Coronado Island is only a 7 minute ferry ride away from downtown. You're pathetic!
Definitely - we should all make a point of checking out the stuff in our own backyards.
What if that person who was planning on visiting the WTC, went on 9/11. Now, that's creepy.
I've seen all of the stuff in my back yard. There was nothing but trees, grass, and a creek. Nothing special. Oh yeah, a there's a few rocks back there too and a broken down car.
I lived in TX for 4 years & never went to San Antonio to see the Alamo. I did explore the sites around Houston since we were close to there but I never got the "Texas Fever".Maybe you have to be born there.
I live outside of Asheville, NC and yet I haven't been to the Biltmore Estate or Chimney Rock Park in at least a decade.<BR><BR>On the other hand, I hang out at Lake Lure and in downtown Asheville every chance I get, plus one of my best friends recently managed to acquire a booklet of free passes to Biltmore, so you bet I'll be going soon.<BR><BR>If only I can think of some truly brainless questions to ask the house guides...
Hi Beachbum! I enjoy reading your helpful responses to posts. Now you be sure to put seeing Mt. St. Helens on your calendar for this summer. You'll have an awesome day and be so glad you went! <BR><BR>We have a foreign exchange student staying with us for 3 wks and we're getting out and seeing new and familiar sights. It's interesting to see our backyard through the eyes of people from other countries. <BR>
