Whale watching in Maui - Help!!

Hi,
I was recently browsing epinions.com for reviews on Maui. I came across one person who said that during whale-watching season, noisy watersports are not permitted (such as waterskiing, parasailing, etc). Is this true?
Thanks.

Yes, it is true. This means December thru mid April, you can't parasail, use wave runners, etc. I almost always go to Maui during whale season because the humpback whales are awesome! There are many other activities which can be done during this time.

What resturants and shopping are close to Emory?

That's right. Nothing that could harm or scare the whales, such as jet skis, is allowed during their (winter) season. Watching the whales was one of the highlights of our April trip this year. Don't worry, you leave with a long list of things you never had time to do! Enjoy!!

Seeing a mother whale nursing her baby is far more exciting than parasailing or wave running. It's something I personally will never forget.
