whale watching

Hi, how is "whale watching" in Nov? Are they still there, in Maui, or have they all left for Alaska?
Also, which is your favorite" watching trip"?
Thanks very much.

For whale waching i would recommend the Tadoussac Charlevoix in Canada in Quebec.

Is it a day trip from Maui to Quebec, or just a half day?

The whales don't get here until mid-December. You might get lucky and see an early bird in Nov., but whale season runs from Dec 15 to May 15

I've taken several tours with the Pacific Whale Foundation (www.pacificwhale.org). It probably is too early to see whales, but they have other tours where you're likely to see dolphins and sea turtles.

Pilot and sperm whales are year round residents, but the humpbacks are only in Hawaiian waters from approx. 12/15 to 5/15. Check out Capt. Dan McSweeney's Whale Watch at this website for lots of info: http://www.ilovewhales.com/home.html

Don't know if whales have left Maui but I do know that there are thousands of hump back whales in Alaska in July. I saw many of them.
