Choices abound-- not surprising, since it's a college town (even UCLA students have student-sized budgets).
On Westwood Blvd. at Santa Monica Blvd., Sunnin serves arguably the best Lebanese food in west LA. Native Foods on Gayley is a vegan's Paradise. Then there are pizza joints, sandwich places, fast-food places and everything else up and down just about every street in Westwood Village, as well as up and down Westwood Blvd. Do you have any favorite cuisines?

Yes there are many good choices. I wouln't recomed Sunnin but for Persian food we like Javan on Santa Monica Blvd. Plenty of food with table service at a good price. Down the street on Sawtelle there are curry houses (which I don't love but the majority seems to), Sawtelle Kitchen and a number of others with and without sushi or noodles.
For Greek food there's Mama Voula's.
If you venture down to Santa Monica Fritto Misto is quite popular.
For Mexican Food my husband would recomend Taco Miendo on Gateway near Pico. THere really are loads of choices. Check out Chowhound.com for more listings and advice.

Also, the famous Apple Pan, a West LA institution that's been dishin' up yummy hickory burgers, fries, and apple pie for decades. John O'Groats is great for breakfast. Asahi Ramen on Sawtlle is good for a fast, filling, hot soupy bowl of noodles.

A little east of Westwood off of Wilshire is Clementine (http://www.clementineonline.com/) - amazing for breakfast or lunch.
For good, fresh and reasonably-priced sushi, Hide Sushi at 2040 Sawtelle Blvd.

If you actually need to eat in Westwood Village, as opposed to getting in a car or bus, We usually stop at Corner Market. Yes it's a chain, but a good one. It's right on Westwood just south of Weyburn. Then go around the corner and get a donut at Stan's. I vote blueberry coconut.
