Westin Hotel Times Square

Have any of you NYC visiters had any experience of this hotel? I hope to visit in the new year and like the hotel location but wondered what previous guests thought - thanks

Have you looked at reviews on tripadvisor? http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev..._New_York.html If you tell us what about it appeals to you or what you're looking for, perhaps we can offer opinions. There are lots of hotels in/near Times Square.

Over the years, I've stayed in that area several times. I was at the Westin about 5 years ago. We had a large room with two large beds, and it was comfortable, clean, bright, with a nice bathroom. I was with my mother and we were comfortable there.

We found the location convenient, and loved those beds and shower heads.

I stayed at the Westin Times Square last year btwn Christmas and New Years for 5 nights. And I am going back again this Dec. for a long weekend and staying there again. It is a very nice hotel, great service (esp. the bellmen and front desk) and very comfortable rooms. We stay in the junior suites which have a large living area w/couch that folds out to a queen bed, and chairs, and a flat screen TV on a wall. Around the wall on either side is access to the king bed, and another flat screen TV on that wall facing the bed. So my husband and I sleep in the bed and the teens sleep on the sofa bed. Big bathroom w/black marble and slate. Very nice modern decor that you expect from a top notch Westin, and those great beds. Wonderful location for walking to and from the Broadway theaters every night, but a long black off of Times Square so you can avoid having to run into that crowd when you walk out the door. LOVE this hotel.

The hotel is fine. I'm not so crazy about the location, but tourists seem to like being in the thick of things.
