Agree with janisj - you may need to keep calling daily to try and get a cancellation - happens daily but the cancellations do not always make it to the website.

ok thanks��appreciate all the comments..... will be speaking to yosemite view lodge today to check for cancellations.. ..and moving on we are also looking to book a nice place in Las Vegas for 3 nights....price is not a constraint but as always looking for a place that gives value for money ...any suggestions??

Last place DW and I spent more than 1 night on "The Strip" as at the Luxor. The inclinators in the corners of the pyramid were quite interesting. We did not go to see Carrot Top who was playing downstairs.
For less than I paid per night for a small room at the Luxor, we stayed in a suite in the Fiesta in Henderson.

In August they practically give rooms away in Las Vegas -- you can stay in any hotel you want at a huge discount. No need to scrimp on a 'down market' property in <i>August . . .
