West Coast Family Destinations?
 

We live in Ohio and everyone here tends to vacation around here (at least on this side of the Mississippi). Can anyone recommend some good family trip places on the west coast? We'd like to go somewhere that there are houses/condos/cabins/villas available to rent so we don't have to stay in a hotel.

Lake Tahoe, Russian River, Donner Lake. Too many places to name. You might want to narrow it down by state.
