Were to EAT In New Orleans?, Where would you go?
 

We will be in NO over x-mas, thsi is our first trip. I have read all the books and visited the sights but still need suggestions. When we are on vacation we like to eat at the best the city we are in can offer. Please help with suggestions and help me decide where to have X-mas dinner. So far we are down to Louis xvi, Arnauds , Dominiques, Peristyle(SP). What else should I look into. Please help I want to make this perfect.

I'd go with Peristyle and would suggest you consider Le Bistro at Maison de Ville and Bayona.

Most places are closed for Christmas in this very Catholic town. Take what you can get among the nicer places...I bet 8 of 10 will be shut!

I'm not a fan of Louis XVI. Too formal and too French for my tastes. I had dinner at Dominique's during my last visit to NOLA and enjoyed it.

I would vote for Commanders Palace, Nola's,Windsor Court, Emeril's. Have fun a great city to eat in.
