Wellesley Inn & Suites - anywhere
 

Has anyone ever stayed at one of these ANYWHERE?<BR>Their rates are quite cheap so was wondering if they were for real or not.

We stayed in one last september the night before a cruise in Tampa. The hotel was the Wellesley Inn and SUites. We booked from a discount site for about $89 and on their website, the room was about $150. AWESOME room, full kitchen (full fridge, dishwasher and stove, dishes, etc) HUGE bathroom , king bed and couch and chair and nice size tv. Very clean and nice staff. EVen had a free breakfast , cereal, donuts, muffins,juice,etc. I think if they are all that nice, that it is a great place to stay!

I stayed at one in Dallas last year for a conference. Very clean, relatively new property, nice area in Dallas. I find them to be compatible to another chain of long-term stays such as the ExtendedStay America Suites. Fully stocked kitchens, sleeper sofa as well as a choice of Queen or double beds, data port connections. Overall an excellent value considering your conventional hotels at only $36/ night for 3 days. Check it out!!! It's real.

I stayed at one in Pennsville NJ last Sept. It was clean & comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was great. I didn't like that it really isn't a "suite" (in my book anyway, a suite has a separate bedroom with a door on it) in that there was only a 7' high "wall" dividing the sleeping area (2 queen beds) from the living room area (pullout bed). We didn't have a big kitchen as "Jen" did, but we paid only $49 - a good value for 3 adults.

We stayed at a Wellesley Inn in Connecticut last year. Horrible! It took forever to check in. As we approached our room, we noticed a huge fan going at the end of the hall. When we opened our door, the room was like an oven. Turned out, there was a flood down the hall and the heat was on to "dry out" the room. We called the front desk. Line was busy for more than half an hour. We were dead tired and by then the room had cooled down, so we decided to just go to sleep. As I sat down on the side of the bed, I realized the carpet was SOAKED. Too tired to do anything else, we went to sleep. By morning, nearly the entire carpet was SOAKING! When we checked out, we complained to the desk clerk that NO ONE should have been given that room. He said the staff must not have known about the flooding problem. Well, whoever set up that fan and hiked the heat surely knew about it. He did take $20 off the bill, but I felt he should have not charged us at all. The room was otherwise nice, and fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, etc. But, we will never stay in a Wellesley Inn again, especially since I e-mailed corporate when we returned home and received NO response.
