Weekend trips outside of NYC??
 

Hi<BR><BR>I live in NYC and I am looking for places (cities, towns etc.) to visit for multiple weekend get-aways with friends. I've already done the Boston and Philly thing but I am looking for some other places. Can you suggest any? Drivable, if that's a word, places within an 8 to 9 hour range (i.e. Canada) are preferred. <BR><BR>All suggests are welcome and any travel direction: North, South, East, West or any combination thereof are welcome too. One-day trips are OK as well.<BR><BR>Thanks so much,<BR>A

For the fall, how about the Berkshires or the Catskills? Can't beat the scenery that time of the year.

Montreal is a great town for quick getaway. Stay in the old city section.

I keep hearing about Mystic CT. I also live in NYC, but have not been there yet. It is supposedly a quaint waterside town. May be worth a weekend as it's not too far from the city.

Have you ever been to the Adirondacks? Lake Placid is about a 5 1/2-hour drive from NYC. It's just such a beautiful part of the state.
