weekend parking Boston
Can anyone please advise the closest parking garage to the Marriott Long wharf.
Looking for something within a block or two. Dont really want to pay Mariott prices I know the garages would be a lot cheaper. Thank you in advance. |
Check www.boston.bestparking.com for rates. You should have good luck, given it's a weekend.

Thanks, I did check them they are just as expensive as the hotel showing $100.00 up

Central Parking operates multiple lots in Boston. I've parked at the International Place garage on weekends (55 Purchase Street). It's a 5-min walk to Long Wharf, but defintiely farther than 2 blocks. If you pre-print the web coupon from Central Parking for that garage, you pay $7/day on weekends.

P.S. I like the International Place garage because
1) it's gated and manned at all times 2) it's covered (an underground garage, not an open street lot) 3) it's open 24 hrs/day including weekends |
I checked a random Friday night to Sunday night in October and the International Place garage recommended by yk was only $18. A somewhat closer garage to the Marriott on State St. is $42. Even the most expensive garage in the area, near the Aquarium, is less than $100. Not sure where you're seeing the high prices.

I lived at Harbor Towers, a block from Marriott Long Wharf, for ten years. The Aquarium Garage is one of the most (the most?)expensive in the city. Everyone should boycott it. They prey on families who have been cooped up in the car for a long time and are desperate to get to the Aquarium or the Whale Watch boat. How do they do it? They post low prices for the first half hour in BIG type and then the price jumps in very quick increments, all in small type. It they have changed, I apologize.
Post Office Square is a little closer than Rowe's Wharf and pretty cheap on weekends, much cheaper than the Marriott or the garages around Quincy Market. |
