Weekend in Miami

My husband and I are headed to Miami in late April for a fun weekend.

We are staying at the Royal Palm Resort - let us know if you have ever stayed there and if you have restaurent and nightlife suggestions for Miami.

Bring on the sun!

I know where the Royal Palm is, and it's a perfect location, but i cant attest to what it's like. Seems like it might be a 3 star, but right on the beach and walking distance to Lincoln Rd and Ocean drive. For restaurants not sure what your budget is- our favorite dinner spots are Prime 112 and Devitos. For quick and easy, Pizza Rustica (several locations) is fantastic. Have a great trip!

Thank you - these are great ideas and we cannot wait to try them out!

The Royal Palm was once the Crowne Plaza hotel... its a great place in a great location... you are right near the Lowes, Emerils, and a short walk to the Delano... make sure you stop at their pool bar at night for a piece of the SOBE character... When the Lowes opened the Royal Palm rates skyrocketed and it became a hot property... Its a 10 minute walk to the heart of the SOBE strip and about 5 to Lincoln Rd... bring your comfort heels... you will want to walk...

One of my favorites is Tiramesu on Lincoln Road.

Very small and make sure you get an outdoor table. NOT INDOORS. They take reservations.

I order the seafood linguini in wine sauce. We eat there a few times a year when we drive down to South Beach from Ft Lauderdale.

If you like brunch, Nemo's puts on one of the nicest I've been to.

Yuca has fabulous Cuban food and great service. I've enjoyed both lunch and dinner there. Dinner seated outside was nice, especially for people watching on Lincoln Road.

Thank you for all of the great restaurant ideas - they all sound perfect.

Any other ideas for good seafood restaurants?

Hi all - anyone ever been to Ola or Table 8? I would love to hear some first-hand experience about dinner...

Also, does anyone have an idea for the best Cuban flair/food in Miami Beach?

Thanks!

Yuca is upscale gourmet $$$$ , but Larios is more authentic and reasonable.

We tried Larios last spring break and it was terrible!!! food dry and thrown together...service bad and no music at all in the place... I read mixed reviews and decided to ignore them... too bad...

If you're close to prima cafe, I think you should go, their food is yummy. It's nothing fancy, but it's a cute little place.
