Weekend Getaway Destinations - East Coast
Hi everyone!
I've been doing some research and trying to plan a weekend getaway that's not too far from Long Island for the summer with my boyfriend. We are both young, in our mid-early 20's so I want to pick a fun place for our age group. I'm open to anything from outdoor activities to the beach, or even a cute town to visit during the summer. Also, hotel recommendations are a huge plus!! My fear is to be misled and book a hotel with a vibe for older travelers and not realize until we get there. ANY suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance! :) Lauryn |
What is your hotel budget?
|
Something that's no more than $170-200/night... preferably.

Asbury Park, NJ is a great place for young people. It has the beach, clubs, and great restaurants. Take a look at this new hotel.

" My fear is to be misled and book a hotel with a vibe for older travelers and not realize until we get there."
As a elder in her early 50's I really don't know how to read this. I can't even think of a hotel that would be an example of this. Whatever this is. |
OK....For example, some bed and breakfasts I have come across, I couldn't tell. You don't only pay for a bed to sleep in and cleanliness, but for the general vibe of a hotel, and sometimes it's hard to tell from pictures. We are in our lower 20's so something with a younger, modern vibe, such as the Asbury Park hotel Susie recommended. I am only saying this because I once made a reservation for dinner for New Years Eve as a recommomendation from a friend, and we were the youngest people in the restaurant, it was all older music that was being played, same sort of concept. We want to be around people our age, that's all, but thanks for commenting!!! :)

Have you explored all of Long Island already? Montauk, Greenport?
