Weekend at CT or RI shore close to beach
 

I am going away with my family including 2 young kids Labor Day weekend. Want to stay close to a nice beach anywhere between Guilford and Watch Hill. Been to Hammonasset and liked it but would like to try somewhere new. We are also looking to go to place we can take kids and get a good seafood dinner that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Any ideas??

We are very low key but we like funky too.

Have you been to Mystic?

Ocean Beach in New London is fun - mile long board walk and amenities. As a child we went there every week every summer and I have good memories.

You can find plenty of seafood places in New London too.

rubylew, how was your trip to the beach? Where did you stay?
