website that gives info on hotels re: age, date remodeled, etc.

I found a web site awhile back that gave this info on motels and hotels. With motels, I have found, the newer (or more recently remodeled), the better. (Usually)
Anyway, I have "misplaced" this website. Thanks if you can help me find it.

Good question.

Last summer I booked hotels in Durango & Telluride and found the info about the age, etc. I thought it was on Expedia.com or Travelocity, but can't find this info now on those sites.

I think 2 stars are better if they are new because, even if cheaply built, everything usually works and is cleaner. Also, new or remodeled usually means better beds.
One exception: a brand of motel (name escapes me) that builds new using toilets w/o lids, ick!

Found the site.
http://www.travelpost.com/ offers the info I was looking for.
For example, hotel ABC was built x years ago and was remodeled y years ago.

Thanks for posting that...
I think it looks very dated and imcomplete. I don't know that I would trust the information to be current.

I use Trip Advisor all the time. But it does not (or I can't find it) give info on age or last remodeling date. For example, say I want to stay in a suburb of a major city. All the usual 2 star motor inn chains are there, about the same price. I would prefer to stay in one that was built or remodeled in the last year or 2. IMHO, beds are likely to be more comfy, bathrooms nicer, etc.

thank you for the post--what a great idea. I totally agree with you re: renovation. I am going to Williamsburg, VA in a few days and did a qucik search using the travelpost and there is a world of difference in age of buildings.
