Weather In Vegas This Weekend and Next Week

What is the weather like in Las Vegas this weekend and early next week? Warm enough to just bring summer dresses and a light jacket? Sandals instead of closed-toe shoes?

I gots one word for ya:

weather.com

Yeah, yeah, it's THREE words if you say it out loud. So don't say it out loud.
I am aware of weather.com.. use it all the time.. but weather can be so unpredictable.

Well, I always visit weather.com before finalizing my packing, and it's just about as reliable for where you're going as where you live... Best bet is to plan on variables in both directions. In my experience, unless you pack for all possibilities, you'll really wish you had something else, should you wish to haul it all along.

I'm just wondering, what you would advise fold to pack for visiting where you live? Is the weather any less "unpredictable"?

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm........so you don't trust weather.com but you DO trust info from anonymous strangers on a chat board???
Hello?
McFly??

Now, now, I think provence97 has probably looked at the forecast on weather.com, and wants to know if it seems accurate for this time of year.

The answer is "yes". It will be pleasantly warm during the day (sunny), but quite cool at night (40s and 50s)-- just like weather.com says. Welcome to the desert in spring! Summer dresses, shorts, etc. would be just fine in the daytime, but plan on adding a couple of layers at night. That's how one dresses in this part of the world this time of year-- layers that can be removed or put on.

layer, layer, layer!

General rule of thumb: Las Vegas is about 10 degrees cooler than Phoenix. Based on that I'd say you can wear some warm weather clothes during the day, but you need warmer clothes for nighttime and the casinos. Whatever the weather outside, I always dress warm for the casinos..hate cold feet while I'm losing my money.

traveleis, i shouldn't laugh at your snarky mcfly comment, but i do.

snarla

It's been unseasonably cold there this year. Bring layers & both open and closed shoes.

Cool. I just got back from a 4 day stay and i thought it would be warm so i brought shorts only...big mistake...it was so windy which made it really cool......i had to go buy pants and a jacket.....in the morning it was high 50's or low 60's and it's chilly with the wind there....lunchtime was just right but when it got to be the afternoon-evening time it was back chilly again...therefore i did not want to go do anything being so chilly outside...never again .......i'll wait til May next time
