weather in vegas
whats the weather going to be like in late february , what clothes will be needed for the evenings etc
|
Go to www.wunderground.com to get a historical climate average for Vegas. Then continue checking the weather forecast up until you leave, knowing that the temperature could easily be 20F higher or lower than average.

I like weather.com, you can check their 10-day forecast, and it has usually been right on the money. February in Vegas is usually still pretty chilly, down right cold if that wind is blowing (which is a big possibility...sometimes I think we are the "windy" city). You will probably still need a light jacket or sweater for the evenings.

We are going Feb 10 - 13. We plan on winter multilayer coats. The coldest I have ever been in my life (I am from NE originally) was in vegas because I was not dressed properly. A friend and I walked the strip with HIGH winds very late one nightin February. We nearly froze. We actually had to stop at one of those souvenir shops and buy a sweatshirt! We were not warm but our teeth stopped chattering. I now travel with a multi-layer jacket. Lyn Clarke

Layering is a good plan this time of year. The days have been getting into the low 60's but nights often get down to around freezing or a little higher.
I was out on the desert Saturday morning on a body search and damn near froze my *** off, even wearing two shirts, a jacket, a boonie hat, and gloves. |
Anything from a sweater and a windbreaker at night to the pool clothes at daytime.
