weather in Orlando late June
sorry I think I posted in wrong section before, start again. Has anyone been to Orlando late June (approx.third week)? Been in November, December and January and weather was great, crowds in parks low, but what is June likely to be like? Will it be as humid as July and August? Cheers

School is out so it will be crowded.
AND HOT! |
It will be very hot and humid. The summer months are very hot all the way through. There are also those pop-up thundershowers which appear almost daily, but usually they move through at a quick pace. September, October, and May are also other good times to visit.

We were there last year in mid June - it was beyond hot and humid (and I live in NYC) - truly more humid and oppressive than any of the carribean islands I have visited.
It did thunder and rain every day - some days the storms were a couple hours long. It was crowded, but we expected that. We were able to get on all the rides using fast pass without too much problem. The only exception was Test Track - we got shut out of fast pass on our last day. |
lynn, You will find the exact opposite of the weather conditions that you experienced in Nov., Dec., and Jan. It will be very hot and very humid. You will have to adjust your activities and will need some down time in air conditioning or poolside in the afternoon.

I would never even comtemplate going in months of June, July or August, (also not main vacation times such as Easter & Xmas. You have to remember Florida is tropical this means extremely high humidity in the summer months, that heat can be unbearable, not to mention the storms and heavy rains that happen frequently in those months. Add to this the crowded parks and long lines. Is there no way you can come earlier or later in the year? It would make a world of difference to your enjoyment. Florida is at it's very best in the other months, still very hot (and not humid or rainy), the parks are less crowded which means you won't spend all day in line for just a few rides, tickets are cheaper and it all makes for a more memorable WD World vacation. Read some other posts on the board and listen how many people say never again in summer!

I posted in reply to your other thread...anyway, yes, it will be hot and humid, and no ocean breezes in central FL to cool you off. WDW is particularly unbearable b/c of all its paved surfaces and, of course, all the other sweaty masses in there with you. If you've only been in the winter, you'll be appalled--are you committed to going?
