Weather In NewEngland

Any snow in the mountains yet,New Hampshire and Vermont and more specifically, Loon and Stowe. Ski resorts claim to open in mid-November but have not come on line yet. Any encouraging words from local residents?

I live in So. NH and we have yet to get any snow--or even come close to flurries. But, it is true that most of the bigger mountains will be open for limited skiing by mid-november. the temperatures are getting pretty cold quickly--we're supposed to get our first sight of flurries thursday. Killington usually opens pretty early b/c of making their own snow like most of the resorts now do.

Dear Julie,
I appreciated the information you posted on Snow in New England. I am looking forward to Snow because I have a young daughter In So. NH who likes to make snow Angels. Hope to see the white stuff real soon

Julie,

We're seeing the first snow of the season today!
It's a little bit early for southern NH and VT but if you can take a little extra time to hit Maine you might have better luck. Most of the resorts are open everywhere up north. You can also check ski reports on www.intellicast.com.

Enjoy!

Yup, we've had our first snow storm - very early this year - and it's a bit colder earlier than usual - so the ski areas will be producing snow forthwith (they need a layer of real snow under the artificial stuff to really get going).
