weather in Kauai in Feb
 

we are thinking of booking a week in Kauai Feb 5-12. any idea of the weather? is that the best/worst time? any big waves on that island that month?<BR>

I am in Hawaii each year in February. Generally, I find the weather to be nice, with the exception of the occasional rainy day and frequent cool trade winds. But, then again, I am on the South shore and I know it can be a bit more iffy on the North shore of Kauai. Having gone to Kauai for the last 12 years in Feb., I can tell you that Feb is considered a winter month and there is always a chance for rain or cooling trade winds, but it is a chance you will have to take. I can recall a stretch of a week of rain a few years back, so that could happen, and should be taken in to account. Generally, I have found the weather acceptable and nice, for what that is worth.
