July is hot and humid on the US east coast from Florida to maine...the southern states are quite hot then too but the southwest is not so humid, as well as the rocky mountains which would be your best bet if you don't want humidity in July! Try Glenwood Springs, Denver, Santa Fe, or for that matter, the coast of California.

New Orleans will be like a sauna in July. The hurricane season peaks in Sept./Oct. Their probability of occurring, strength, and place of landfall are not very predictable.
