Weather Changes is Bad for the Health

It's been freezing cold here in New York, I been traveling to Bangkok, is there any health issue about it? from winter to summer? My first time to travel. Any thoughts?

Weather of itself is not a danger to your health unless you go to an extremely cold climate without proper clothing and you get frostbite. Or you are in a very hot climate and don't hydrate properly and you get het stroke.

Changes from one to another have nothing to do with your health.

So says the poster that once told someone on the forums that cancer is preventable.

My unscientific theory is that big weather changes challenge your immune system. Traveling also does that, and the public spaces you're trapped in--airports, cabs, train stations, etc.--are germ factories.

So wash your hands often, don't touch your face, and try to maintain healthy habits with regard to sleep, food and drink.

Inka - I fear you are very confused.

It is true that if one has an impaired immune system you may be more susceptible to disease with rapid changes in conditions (for instance asthma may be exacerbated by very cold temps) - but without the exposure to germs (very possible on planes) there's no reason a healthy person should get sick just going to a warmer climate. (Although different pathogens there can cause illness naturally.)
