If you don't get a taker here, try ebay or try selling it the nigth of the play near the theatre.

ekscrunchy May 14th, 2010 03:05 AM

Graziella: If you do not get a response, take it to the box office when you arrive and see if they will refund the money. Be sure to bring the credit card that the purchase was charged on.

If this does not work, post here the day before and I will see if I can find anyone who might take it at the last minute.

Walk around the area before the show. It will sell.

ekscrunchy May 14th, 2010 06:50 AM

There are tickets available so why would anyone count on selling an extra ticket for face value on the night of?

<<<There are tickets available so why would anyone count on selling an extra ticket for face value on the night of?>>>

And why would the box office refund her money if they have tickets available?

logandog May 14th, 2010 10:47 AM

You'd have to pay me $146.00 to see Billy Elliot.

ekscrunchy May 14th, 2010 11:53 AM

the box office sometimes will refund. This has been my experience, I have no idea why.

travelbuff May 14th, 2010 08:41 PM

If the show is sold out there is a 'will call' line and the box office will take back the ticket can easily resell it. If the show has seats available, all bets are off, which is why you might try ebay and if you don't sell it there, or here, your other option is to try and find a taker outside the theatre. You may not get full face value of the ticket though, unless the show is sold out and I have not heard how Billy Elliott is doing. I have seen a few ads on TV for the show lately, so that usually means the show is not sold out.

Hope this helps.

Thank you all. I paid $146, I shall sell it for $100 to take the problem out my mind.
Thank you ekscrunchy I shall post again the day before. I am hoping too that the
concierge at the hotel can sell it for us if he can keep the difference.
