We have free airline tickets...
Married 50 year olds have free tickets for continental US or Canada and are not sure where to go! We could use your help! We live in Penna. and have been to San Francisco, Seattle, Fla., Alaska, New England. We are considering Vancouver, BC, Colorado, or San Diego. Any ideas??? Skiing could be part of the trip....Thanks.

It would help to know how long you're planning to stay. And, more importantly, your interests other than skiing. But Vancouver, Colorado and San Diego all sound good!
|
One way to approach the "problem" is to use the tickets in way which will save you the most money in the future for a place you want to visit - no idea from where you originate, but for us, there are coast-to-coast deals but rarely deals to many other places.

I agree with Gail. I would not go where there are already great deals. I'd look for a destination that usually is not discounted and I'd know I was using the tickets to the full advantage. Oh , I don't know, somewhere like Inuvik,NWT to see the northern lights (in winter) or the midnight sun ( in summer). OR to Yellowknife .

I'd agree with the others about getting value for your free tickets. I've gone to Vancouver a couple times and always ended up flying to Seattle because Vancouver is always so much more expensive, so I'd think that might be a good option. Besides, I love that area.
How much time and when. I'm not a winter person so you lost me with the skiing, but spring, summer, or fall, a trip to Whistler and one to Victoria while concentrating on Vancouver would be wonderful! |
I'd use the tickets to the place that would be most expensive to buy a ticket.
If you like skiing, flying to Vancouver and then going to Whistler is one of our favorite trips. |
