We have been very active in the nudist lifestyle for the last 25 years
Are you Americans living in the USA? I find it difficult to understand how you could be 'very active in the lifestyle' and not know about AANR or where to find a resort in the USA after 25 years.

I should also mention FANR and that Florida has many locations that you could visit on a road trip.

We were born and raised in the Midwest USA (my husband was actually born and raised in Forest City, Iowa (home of the Winnebago RV) and most of our nudist resort visits have been in Mexico and other countries south of the USA. Mainly because we can almost always depend on HOT temps and great beaches. We live on a private lake with several other household so honestly have what we need for stripping down right here. We have been at and/or heard of many of what has been mentioned but we were looking for first-hand reviews rather than what is on a website (which always seem to sound great until you get there).

Aren't there nudist groups on Facebook or other social media? I mean there's nothing wrong with posting here on Fodor's, but seems like you'd get the "first-hand reviews" you are looking for easier on a more specicfically targeted website.

There may be Fodorite naturists but I personally have not seen any self-identify. If you are looking for personal recommendations my guess is you are barking up the wrong tree/asking on the wrong site. If they haven't mentioned it by now I seriously doubt they would blow their cover to help what to me (and I could be 100% wrong here) is a couple who are mostly looking to 'flaunt' things.

I don't mean to sound snarky, but since you are experienced nudists I would assume you are aware of or even members of a number of groups that specialize in nudist travel destinations. I would think you would find infinitely more information by posting with any of those groups than you will here. And you'll be getting lots of first hand information from other experienced nudists than you will get here. This seems especially true since you are looking for more "out of the way" or lesser known places -- and there will be lots of other people on those sites with the same goal.

We don't hear any snarkiness in your comments NeoPatrick, just honest intrigue and that is completely fine with us. As we said earlier, almost all of our nudists experience is with visits out of the United States and never in a RV. We are also aware of some (not all) of the places listed above but only for night stays or weekends and again never in a RV and/or camping. Some of the places listed above (although they might not announce it up front) have very heavy swinging participation along with the nudist lifestyle. We do accept that swinging is going to be very closely aligned with the nudist lifestyle and to be completely honest it has been something we have been involved with over the years on dozens of occasions. We are pretty sure that swingers will welcome nudists in a RV, however we are not sure that nudists will be welcomed by the RVers? Thus, that question brought us to this forum.
Since the purchase (and operation) of a RV is a costly one, this isn't the only source of information we are using and we think it is wiser to get that information for the RV crowd than the nudist crowd. Since we are already very experienced in taking off our clothes and being naked in public the information we seek is more in the direction of RV travel and campground vs conversion van and cabin/hotel/resort. These days fuel is rising and hotel costs are dropping. Hope that explains a little of our purpose here.

This is nonsense. I was skeptical earlier but am now convinced that the OP knows nothing about the lifestyle. Am glad I didn't waste more time here, but I do have one more comment on one ridiculous bit (snark intended):

not sure that nudists will be welcomed by the RVers?
At a "clothed" RV park I doubt that you will be welcomed if you decide to go about nude. At a nudist RV park if you go around asking about hookups and you are referring to something other than connecting your RV to utilities then you will be ostracized.

We think you maybe misunderstanding our posts Mrwunrfl and maybe that is our fault. As we stated earlier in this thread up until now most of our nudist vacationing has not been in the USA and has been Winter vacations south of the border. Since winter vacations in the US do not have the high temps that we are looking for and our unwillingness (because of covid) to fly anywhere (much less out of the country) we decided to switch our vacations to summer months in the US. Up until now we have had everything we needed right here at our lake place. We have really had no need or desire to join any nudist groups here in the US (or anywhere, for that matter).
We agree with you that a couple openly and aggressively looking for "hookups" during daytime hours would be not acceptable by most (not all) nudists, take it from us, once several beverages have been consumed and it gets into the later hours, the invitations are frequent when all are naked. Many of us know that and choose to retire for the night, learn to deal with it (or in some cases) could get involved.
As we said most of our vacations have been in Mexico (or other southern countries) such as the location we were at when the picture was taken that we have upgraded to our profile pic. Hope that clears things up and have a great weekend everyone.

I'm curious how COVID has affected your 'activity'. Do you were a mask, but no pants?

We assume that your question is a light-hearted humorous one, however we do believe that these days, there are more people that would be more offended my us not wearing a mask than not wearing pants.
Seriously though, the covid masks, lock downs and just general craziness are why we are looking into this other means of travel and vacationing. As people who don't want to be controlled by restrictions, to be able to move (or stay) under our own power is important to us. To be stuck in an airport, foreign resort or country or locked down state would be avoided if we had freedom of the road and a roof over our head.
This be more of an answer that you expected (or wanted).

{however we are not sure that nudists will be welcomed by the RVers?}

Not sure?? Pretty sure the answer to that question is, if it is not specifically an RV/nudist place you will not be welcomed by RVers naked.
