WDW Accomodations?

My husband and I (50s) will be visiting WDW for our 5th time (no kids this time). We've always stayed in the park, but this time we'll have a car and would like to stay at a place where there won't be "tons" of kids. Has anyone stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in WDWResort or the Hampton Inn on Palm Parkway (how close to Disney Village?) Any suggestions would be helpful!

You can still stay in the park and not be bothered by lots of kids. Try some of the more upscale resorts, such as the Grand Floridian, the Swan, the Dolphin, or the Golf Resort. You will still get the privileges of the Disney Transportation system, early entry, better restaurant reservations, etc.

I would be willing to be that the Courtyard by Mariott will have lots of kids whose parents are staying there on points from business trips!

Also, consider the time of year that you go. I have heard that October tends to be one of the less-crowded months since the kiddos are in school.

Have fun!!

I agree with Christie. Hotels located off the Disney "compound" are also less expensive, luring larger families, as in even more kids.

You are going to Disney. You can't avoid tons of kids. Get over it.

Last October, I stayed at the Hilton at Disney Village, which is right next to the Courtyard. The Hilton was great. I have two young kids and there were few kids at the Hilton. It consisted mostly of conventioneers. We walked over and looked at the Courtyard. It looked nice. I understand that it was recently renovated. There is very good bus transportation at the hotels within Disney Village. I also ran several mornings down the Palm Parkway. It is about one-half mile from Disney Village. I remember seeing a Hampton, which looked nice. There was also a very nice Embassy Suites. I booked a package deal through Southwest Airlines for the Hilton. I saved ALOT of money. They also have packages for lots of close non-disney hotels. I have stayed within Disney several times. I liked the Hilton at Disney Villlage better than the Disney Hotels. Have fun.
