Watching the Oscars in Hawaii on 2/25?

I am prepared to get slammed for this question, but I've researched all avenues and have yet to find the answer to my question: What time will the Oscars be broadcast in Hawaii on 2/25? They are scheduled to be broadcasted live 8ET/5 Pacific, so does that mean they'll be on a 3pm, or will they be broadcast later?

I would assume they would be on "live" at 3pm. ((b))

Usually it's delayed - not sure which network airs it, but it starts in the early evening - and usually runs late into the timeslot for the 10pm news.

I think those channels like E! that do a red carpet preshow may be live and therefore start in the earlier part of the afternoon.

If it's delayed, it would be like watching Sunday football after knowing all the scores and who's won. I know the West Coast doesn't delay these sorts of things, but maybe Hawaii does? ((b))

The award goes to ?
So for some reason they showed the Oscars in Hawaii at a time delay so
the Oscar's were over before they even aired here. So of course I went
online and looked up the winners.

Budman, you are correct. Many sports events do get a delayed broadcast in Hawaii. On the early newscast, the sports anchors will often say, "If you don't want to know the score, turn away from the TV!"
