Washington Square Inn in San Francisco
I would appreciate any feedback about this B&B in S.F. We will be there in March.

My husband and I love staying here. The furnishings are looking a bit faded, but the place is still elegant and very clean. We like the North Beach location, and the waterfront is not far away. You are close to many restaurants and convenient public transportation. They serve wine and snacks in the evening, and a decent light breakfast in the morning. We are in our mid 40's, and were probably among the younger guests. How much privacy do you like--do you mind talking to other guests over eveining wine or breakfast? We enjoy that, and had a couple of very pleasant stays at the Washington Square Inn.

maby-Is this the one located a few dors down from Moose's?
If so, every durn time we pass it we keep saying "we have to look into this place". Real good location for us "NoBeachers". |
Yes, Kal, the inn is right next to Mooses's, on Stockton Street. The website is wsisf.com. I agree, the location is great--we love the North Beach neighborhood and can walk or take a bus to anywhere else we want to go.

It's been a few years (maybe 5 or 6?), but I LOVED the location, and it was a nice change of pace from the bigger hotels in which I've usually stayed while in San Francisco. I recall that our room was a little on the small side (and maybe a bit faded as a previous poster says) but not a big deal as we didn't spend much time in it. The afternoon tea/wine was nice, as well as the leisurely breakfasts while watching tai chi in the park across the street. I absolutely would stay there again.
