Washington in August - Itinerary Help Please

My wife and I are planning a 2 to 2 1/2 week trip to Washington for August. We have been to Seattle for 2 days previously, but have visited other parts of the state. We love beautiful scenery and other general sightseeing, good food, music, moderate hiking and meeting and interacting with locals and other tourists. Our budget is flexible, and we're willing to pay for top notch hotels, good restaurants, etc. Based on my research to date, below is my tentative itinerary:

Seattle (2 days)(we've seen the major sights previously) - Possible activities include Art Museum, Chihully Garden, Olympic Sculpture Park, underground tour, sailboat excursion, Bainbridge Island. Potential hotel - Inn at the Market.

San Juan Islands (2-4 days) - hiking (Moran State Park, Turtleback Mountain Preserve), kayaking, whale watching. Hotel - Friday Harbor House at least 2 nights. Consider going to Orcas Island also.

Bellingham (1-2 days)

North Cascades & Methow Valley (1 day). Hotel - Sun Mountain Lodge

Levenworth, Chelan and Stehekim (2-3 days)

Olympic National Park (3-4 days) - Port Angeles (Olympic Lodge and/or Crescent Lake Lodge), Hurricane Ridge hike, Hoh rain forrest tour, Port Townsend, Kalaloch and Forks areas are possibilities.

I welcome your suggestions and ideas on the itinerary, hotels, activities, restaurants, etc. I am open to any changes - places to visit, time spent at each location, etc.
