Washington Hotel NYC?
Has anyone stayed here or heard of the place? It is located at 125th and 3rd in, gasp, East Harlem....
|
I remember last December this was the cheapest hotel we could find in Manhattan after searching about a dozen internet sites... we were offered a four-bed room for just under $30! We didn't chance it, however, as the 3rd Ave location looked pretty scary, and we were a family with two children.... there is another posting about this hotel on this board, no more than a day or two old, so try a search. Good luck, and, if you actually stay there, let us know your reactions!

why on gods earth would you want to stay there? There are plenty of resonable priced places in Manhattan
|
OK, if you want to stay there yourself then go for it. I wont mind suffering the worst conditions for myself if it means saving a dime. But please don't take innocent children to a dump!

Hi again, Jim!

I think the previous poster misunderstood... Jim didn't say he was taking his children to the Washington. I said that I had two children, and that I DIDN'T take the offered rooms! I would, however, be interested to know if it is, as the previous poster says, really a "dump".

Jim, there is a website for the Washington: www.washingtonhotelnyc/. It says that a bed will cost you $17.95, and that you will have to share your room with one other. It doesn't tell you how many people you will share a bathroom with!
There is a very nearby post on this forum (I just topped it) which tells you more.
