Washington DC vegetarian

Vegetarian dining options would be great. Also, some suggestions on nightlife in DC are much appreciated.

Assuming you aren't demanding a strictly vegetarian restaurant (or are a vegan), you won't have any troubles in DC. Beyond the steakhouses, every place is going to be somewhat veggie friendly with some very hospitable. Lots of ethnic restaurants in DC (Ethiopian being the type you often can't find in other places) will work.

Harmony Cafe in Georgetown is yummy. Not a strictly veggie place, but every meat dish on the menu has a mock meat or tofu alternative.

Here's a website with a list of veggie restaurants in DC: http://www.vegdc.com/restaurants.php

there are plenty of great options for veg's in DC. busboys and poets is a cute place- kinda a bookstore and coffee house & restaurant all at once. yummy veg options.

and many many great ethiopian restaurants- in fact, DC is famous for the great ethiopian food. can't remember the neighborhood (BIL used to live there).

I second Harmony Cafe in Georgetown. I went there for a vegetarian dinner last night and it was fantastic. It doesn't look like much - just a door that leads downstairs to the restaurant with beat up menus. However, every dish we tried was excellent.
Tofu steak with tangy sauce
Chicken curry rice (veggie chicken)
Kung Pao Tofu
Vegetable Lo Mein

I realize this is way later than this posting but for people searching ahead to find the info it will be helpful.
